Florida's Finest Back-Country Fly and Light-Tackle Fishing For Redfish, Seatrout, Jacks, Flounder, & Tarpon

Whether you're fishing in the Atlantic Ocean or the North Florida's back country, be attentive to the First Coast's weather. It changes quickly. Always carry foul-weather gear. Hooded rain jackets and waterproof pants are best.

Other items recommended on your First Coast fishing charter:

  • A broad brimmed hat
  • Sunglasses
  • Back-up prescription glasses
  • Bandana or some form of glasses cleaner
  • Sunscreen
  • Camera or video and film for both (pictures are permanent memories to enjoy over the years)

I encourage you to bring your own fishing gear, although I am happy to provide tackle. I'll provide all the baits, artificials, and flies. I provide plenty of water, other drinks and ice. Bring the food or beverages you like -- enough to last you for the length of the trip.

You do not need a fishing license when you charter my guide service. But, if you would like to find more about getting a fishing license or about any of Florida's hunting, fishing, or outdoors activities, click on the links below:

I specialize in fly rod or light tackle sight-casting during low tides for redfish in NE FL's Timucuan Preserve, located 30 minutes from Ponte Vedra and 20 minutes from Amelia Island. For high-tide charters, I target redfish, trout, and flounder using flies, artificials, and live baits. Depending on the conditions, I will use a Gordon Boatworks 16 for low tide and a Dolphin Super Skiff for high tide charters.
